About the Item

4 highly decorative pieces with generous engobes enhanced by richly worked oxide decorations. Subtle mix between post-war modernism and archaism, typical of the expression of this great Hungarian artist. Dimensions (cm) following the order of the photos : 25 h x 11.2 diam. 22 h x 13 diam. 16 h x 11.2 diam. 35 h x 10.5 diam. The four pieces are in excellent condition with the exception of a small loss of material on the rim of the highest - see picture - We are at your disposal for any further information or photos.

This plate like all of her ceramics is hand thrown and has a freeform feel due the uneven shape of the vessel which is almost oblong. The color is mustard yellow decorated with two large stylized fish in black. Pisces? In the image of the back, it looks like dirty spots but is actually where the glaze was thinly applied and the clay color shows through.
