This is a beautifully hand painted English coffee can in an Imari wheel and tobacco leaf pattern, number 263, from the George-III period of the turn of the 18th century, made by Chamberlains Worcester, circa 1795 to 1805.
The coffee can has a slightly tapered shape with a loop handle having a slight inner kink and a slightly pointed lower attachment.
This strong pattern is finely, all hand painted in Pattern 263, which is one of Worcester's known patterns, depicting an Amari inspired wheel and tobacco leaf design with superb detail. The richly painted and hand gilded detail is excellent and includes an inner top border design, with further gilding to the rims and outer handle.

This is a good quality coffee can that we attribute to the Coalport porcelain works, Shropshire, England, made during the John Rose period of the George 111rd years, circa 1805-1810.
The coffee can is nominally parallel, tapering slightly to the base, with a simple loop handle having a slight kink, with slightly pointed attachments. It has a foot recess with obtuse corner and is unmarked to the base.
The pattern is beautifully hand painted in bold colors of burnt orange, yellow, green and cobalt blue, all in different shades with the distinctive "Dragon in Compartments" pattern, all enhanced with good gilded detail to the pattern, both rims and the outer handle.
