12 Exceptional Steuben Baluster Water Goblets

Steuben Glass Works, Corning, NY. Known as the #7877 baluster stem, this is the most coveted of all modernist glasses, circa 1940. Intended as a water glass, today these goblets find more usage as wines. Perfectly balanced, they are deliciously heavy in the hand. The George Thompson design is visually pleasing while conspicuously modern. Excellent condition.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: “Steuben is authentic American chic. Perfect in any décor and exceptional in a Mid-Century setting, think Vladimir Kagan or George Nakashima furniture.”

Size: 6 3/4 inches high and 3 5/8 inch diameter.

Hallmarks: Steuben acid etched.

Stock number: 18446.

Objet acquired from Lawrence Jeffrey must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of seven days.
