A hand painted floral plate made by Roger Colas, Clemecy Nievre, France, circa 1930s. A tin-glazed white earthenware plate showing a shaped rim outlined in a bright pink glaze. A central floral bouquet of stylized light pink roses, blue daisies, and other flowers against a spray of green leaves. Three smaller bouquets alternate with green leaf sprigs for an inner border. Characteristic of the Provençal faïence from Central France – quite charming. 9.5 inches in Diameter x 1 in. H Signed: The pattern number, the intwined initials RC for Roger Colas, Clamecy, Decor Main (hand decoration) In wonderful condition.
