A pair Dutch Delftware Royal Delft vases - Urns. Tall decorative covered baluster vases on an octagonal foot. The vases are hand crafted and hand painted in enchanting blue colors, blue camaieu. Floral decoration with peacock birds Origin The Netherlands, Delft second half 20th century Condition: 1 hairline upper rim and a craquele line( only in the surface glace) see picture Style: Baroque Color: Blue and white Producer: Royal Delft Manufactory Delftware or Delft pottery is also known as Delft Blue. Delftware includes pottery objects of all descriptions such figurines, plates, vases and other ornamental forms and tiles. The start of the Delft style was around 1600. the most highly regarded period of production is about 1640–1740. Delftware continues to be produced. Arround 1640 Delft potters began using personal monograms and distinctive factory marks. Throughout the 17th and 18th centuries Delftware was a major industry, exporting all over Europe.
