19th Century Nevers French Faience Hand Painted Plate

About the Item

A late 19th century Nevers French faience pate, hand painted with flowers and the words " Mirabeau Mort Le 10 Avril 1791" at the center, they translate to "Mirabeau died April 10, 1791". Mirabeau was a Count and leader in the early stages of the French Revolution. The edges are beautifully scalloped.
