Antique Majolica Asparagus & Artichoke Plate by Orchies

About the Item

Vibrantly colored French majolica asparagus and artichoke plate made in the Orchies factory in the late 1800's. The plate has a scalloped rim with artichoke flowers and fall colored leaves, the largest flower is a depressed sauce well. The center of the plate includes five purple tipped asparagus on a feathered background. I have a matching tray as well. I purchased these plates in Southwest France, I can tell the set has been very well cared for. I have eleven available.
