About the Item

Heading : Anglo-Irish glass bowl with fold over rim Period : George III Origin : Ireland – most likely cork Colour : Clear Bowl : Fold over rim with a band of split cuts to the rim and a band of diamonds to dthe body. Stem : Bobbin Foot : Moulded with inward tapered gadrooning Glass Type : Lead Size : 24cm height, 30.5cm x 25.5cm bowl Condition : Excellent, light fritting to foot as expected, and some scratching to the base of the bowl. Restoration : None Weight: 3224 grams With the ‘soft’ flat cutting style, bobbin stem, and moulded foot this piece exhibits many of the hallmarks of the Cork Glass Co. and we are comfortable making this attribution.
