A fine antique French cut glass casket.
In the Charles X style.
In the form of a seashell with a bronze mounted lid.
Simply a great French cut glass casket!
Date:
Late 19th or Early 20th Century
Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
The bronze mount has a slight smile (meaning the box closes just shy of flush). The lock is no longer operational. There is some fritting and flakes to the glass (particularly to the highpoints and edges). There is some oxidation and scratches here and there to the bronze mount. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
