Antique Lidded Continental Enamel Painted Milk Glass (Milchglas) Beer Stein

About the Item

A fine antique glass beer stein. Consisting of a handled stein with a lid decorated throughout with hand painted enamel floral motifs and green lines. The lid has a finial decorated with blue & red accents. Simply a wonderful early Milchglas lidded tankard or stein! Date: Late 18th or Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Condition Details: There is a firing flaw to the base of the stein (which is visibly thinner and more translucent), some staining and losses to some of the green stripes, a firing flaw to the lid's finial, and some minor spots of staining here & there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Likely Bohemian or German Marks: Unmarked Measurements: Height: ca. 7 7/8 in. Width: ca. 6 in. Depth: ca. 4 1/2 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
