About the Item

These espresso/liqueur glasses can be used to serve after-dinner liqueurs or coffee. These original espresso glasses are an original choice for design lovers. Inspired by the architectural parti diagram of Marina City Towers, the iconic architectural landmark designed by Bertrand Goldberg in the mid-1960s that sits along the Chicago River in the heart of Ferrone’s hometown, Chicago, the Flight Collection is characterized by strong, simple lines and a combination of fluted and smooth glass. Flight blurs the boundaries between architecture and objects. Inspired by the architecture of the Monastery of Saint Ivan of Rila in Bulgaria, the Rila experiments with volume and form, pushing the boundaries of hand-formed craftsmanship through the combination of fluted and smooth glass, and brings a new silhouette to the table. Named for Ferrone’s favorite street in Milan, Rasori is a playful combination of materials and form. Inspired by the proportions of mid-century tableware, the design pushes the technical boundaries of production with its delicate curves at the transition between smooth and fluted glass. The decanter, the keystone of the Rasori collection, has a unique, zoomorphic beak-like spout. Ferrone sought to push the boundaries of production techniques with her aptly named Mixed Collection by combining fluted and smooth glass in a single design. The additional technical challenge of this design is the fact that each piece is formed entirely by hand, one at a time. Each piece is handcrafted by master glassblowers of fluted Borosilicate glass allowing for thermal resistance for a range of hot and cold applications. The collection is oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. material • borosilicate glass type • glassware Flight Liqueur Glass: size • 100mL (3.5floz) h.8.5cm (3 1/4in) ø4cm Rila Small: size • 150 mL (5 fl oz) h. 10 cm (4 in) Rasori Mini: size • 150 mL (5 fl oz) h. 7.5 cm (5in) ø5cm Mixed Mini: size • 150 mL (5 fl oz) h. 11.5 cm (4 1/2in) ø5cm Designed by Felicia Ferrone in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 Handcrafted in the Czech Republic
