About the Item
Classic Art Nouveau Emile Galle 'Banjo' vase, depicting blooms in fire polished green over pink, signed in cameo (see picture 3) -Provost Mark I -see chart -last picture. Emile Galle Cameo Banjo vases (so called because they vaguely resemble that shape) are amongst the most collected of Emile Galle shapes with many collectors only buying this form. Emile Galle was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. There is a tiny area of colour loss in the top rim where an open bubble has been factory removed -there is no noticeable thinning in the glass -noted just for completeness.
