Large Decorative Centerpiece - Table Accent, Murano Art Glass by Vamsa 1940s
About the Item
Rare Murano Glass - Collectible Murano - Big Art Glass Centerpiece
Big, thick, heavy and extremely attractive centerpiece/bowl in clear Murano glass, by legendary manufacturer V.A.M.S.A. (Vetreria Artistica Muranese Società Anonima), established in 1936 by Alfredo Barbini, who also was the main designer and glassmaker.
The piece, incredibly well preserved and absolutely timeless, perfectly embodies the style of the brand with its included "drops" of colored glass, adding a bright accent of electric blue to the clear body. Underneath the base, the original VAMSA acid signature is visible, attesting the originality of the bowl.
Seldom found in such conditions, Murano glass from the 1930s and 1940s has a distinct "handmade" character, exuding immense charm that the expert eye can certainly spot and appreciate. The present object is of outstanding rarity and value, and will certainly be a treasured piece in any thematic collection.

Rare Murano Sculpture - Modern Murano Art - Handblown Murano Glass
Unusual, attractive and heavy Murano glass sculptural block. This uncommon decorative piece looks like a crystal rock, but is crafted in Murano glass as visible from the tiny bubble inside. Two faces are grinded flat, while the sides are polished but organic, fluid and irregular. The aquamarine hue of the clear glass is similar to that used by Max Ingrand in most of his works for Fontana Arte and Saint Gobain.
