Pair of Rene Lalique Marienthal pattern Whiskey-Soda Glasses -signed c 1931

About the Item

A super pair of signed, clear, glass Rene Lalique 'Marienthal' pattern Whiskey Soda glasses - designed 1931 - Ref Marcilhac 3422 p771 black edition -Both are clearly signed R Lalique. The Marienthal pattern was one of the few design patterns that Rene designed a wide range of pieces - it depicts a lower frieze of very Art Deco stylised grape vines with large succulent grapes. - French glasses are often a little small for modern use, but these Whiskey Soda glasses are an excellent size and are great to use. René Lalique was possibly the most famous of all glass makers -the most collectable pieces by him are those produced during his lifetime (ie pre 1945), these are signed, like these pieces, R Lalique.

Rare Rene Lalique clear glass square Perles Wall panel 1930. This is a Documented Carres Perles pattern 'Cloison' or wall panel. The fact that it is an unused single panel and signed (they were usually not signed) suggests this was a salesman's sample. It is Documented in the Lalique book...
