Set of 6 Antique 19th C Cut Glass Wine Stems or Glasses Attributed to Bakewell

About the Item

A fine set of 6 antique cut glass wines. Each having wafer bases supporting knop stems and fluted strawberry and fan cut tops. Attributed to Bakewell, Page, & Bakewell of Pittsburgh, PA. For related examples see George & Helen Mckearin's "American Glass" book - plate no. 50. Since these are handmade, they each vary slightly in size and shape. Simply a rare wonderful set of champagne flutes! Date: 19th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no cracks, or repairs. Condition Details: One of the cups has a very small chip. Each has some very very light fritting & edge wear to the cut facets here and there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Attributed to Bakewell Measurements: Height: ca. 5 in. Diameter: ca. 3 in.
