A beautifully preserved mid-century German carving set by Anton Wingen Jr., Solingen, under the renowned “Othello” trademark. This three-piece set includes a carving knife, sharpening steel, and two-prong fork, all fitted with sculptural stag antler handles and presented in the original faux reptile green case with satin-lined interior.
The carving knife is etched and gilded with a hunting-themed scene featuring a stag among oak leaves, accompanied by the Othello maker’s mark and “Anton Wingen Jr., Solingen – Rostfrei”. The fork is similarly decorated with gilded detailing, and the sharpening steel retains its original guard and matching antler grip.
This set is a classic example of German hunting lodge elegance—combining craftsmanship, natural materials, and refined presentation.
