About

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver wine goblet; an addition to our Georgian wine and drinks related silverware collection. This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver wine goblet has a plain circular bell shaped form to a circular, waisted pedestal foot. The body of this antique silver goblet is embellished with impressive flat engraved interlacing, scrolling leaf decoration accented with a trellis style pattern, in addition to pensile floral designs. The decoration to the body incorporates four carthouches, two display floral sprays and the other two remain vacant. The lower portion of the body is further ornamented with a simplified scroll leaf design in junction with the pedestal. The circular spreading foot is encompassed with further flat engraved ornamentation emanating from a band of tooled decoration to the rim. This impressive example of Georgian silverware retains the original gilded interior.
