19th Century Viennese Heavy Silver Victorian Claw Footed Bowl

About the Item

Viennese heavy silver Victorian footed bowl scalloped and embossed, circa 1870 A round, scalloped, flared rim dish boasts an ornately embossed floral design. The heavy body features a bulbous radiating panel design raised on four claw feet. The wedge-shaped panels meet to make a stunning sunburst in the center. This piece is marked 800 silver with the Diana head indicating Vienna, 1867 origin. The makers mark is unidentified. Condition: A few minor breaks at the rim (see pictures) Measurements: 10" diameter x 3" height Weight: Approximately 19 oz.

An exceptional, fine and impressive Russian silver gilt and niello enamel beaker, an addition to our Russian silverware collection. This exceptional antique Russian silver gilt beaker has a cylindrical, tapering form. The surface of this antique beaker is embellished with a fine niello enamel scene depicting a structural rooftop skyline behind a towered brick wall, incorporating cloud designs on the matte textured upper portion. The ornamentation to the beaker is flanked with two opposing chevron style borders. The upper rim of the beaker is encircled with an applied moulded border.
