19th Century French Orchies Majolica Pig Pitcher

A charming French majolica barbotine pig pitcher by Orchies, circa 1880. Maker's mark on reverse. This highly collectible pitcher, titled "Cochon au Jambon" (pig with ham), is depicted as a pig dressed as a regal Roman Emperor with a laurel crown and ham dangling from a sash. It's hand painted with vibrant colors and a whimsical expression. Dimensions 7.5ʺW × 5.25ʺD × 8.25ʺH
