Antique Victorian Dark Cobalt Blue Jasperware Jug with Pewter Lid

About the Item

Beautiful antique Victorian dark cobalt blue jug with a pewter lid. Featuring classical relief figures and a grapevine edging. Measuring height 16.5 cm / 6.5 inches, and approximately diameter 9 cm / 3.5 inches. The jug is in very good condition for its age. There is a two chips to the jasperware underneath the lid. This piece is not stamped Wedgwood, and was probably made by one of their imitators, of which there were many. This lovely dark cobalt blue jug is circa 1890s.
