English Mocha Pottery Blue Slip Jug

English Mocha-decorated Pottery Blue Slip Jug with White Bands, Circa 1820 This slip-decorated pearlware jug features a vibrant blue slip ground adorned with three distinct groupings of four thin white bands. The bands encircle the body of the jug, creating a visually striking contrast. The loop handle boasts stylized leaf terminals at both the top and bottom. Dimensions: Height: 7 3/4 inches Width: 9 3/8 inches Diameter: 7 inches Mochaware is a type of pottery characterized by its marbled or mottled decorative effects, achieved through a technique known as slip decoration.
