Large Art Nouveau Pitcher by Denbac France

About the Item

This 23 cm tall Art Nouveau pitcher is a striking piece from the Denbac ceramics manufactory, renowned for its organic forms and flambé glazes. The pitcher features a bulbous body with a high-arching handle and elegantly flared spout. Its surface is adorned with a rich brown glaze transitioning into molten hues of red, ochre, and green that drip sensuously from the neck, embodying the flowing natural aesthetic typical of the Art Nouveau movement. The glaze finish adds depth and texture, giving the piece a warm, earthy presence. Functional yet artistic, this pitcher represents the perfect union of design and utility. The Denbac manufactory, founded in 1909 in Vierzon, France, by René Denert and Jean Bachelet, gained acclaim for its high-fired stoneware. Their signature glaze techniques and stylized natural motifs became hallmarks of French Art Nouveau ceramic artistry. Firmed under the base. Very good condition. More information Upon Request.
