About the Item

Early Gustavsberg Victorian Majolica Pitcher – Cobalt Relief on Ivory Crackle Glaze This early Gustavsberg Victorian majolica pitcher is a fine example of 19th-century Scandinavian craftsmanship. Featuring an intricate relief pattern in deep cobalt blue over an ivory crackled background, the design is both elegant and highly detailed. Two central cameos serve as focal points, framed by meticulously sculpted eagle heads that extend outward, adding depth and character to the piece. The pitcher bears the original Gustavsberg mark, confirming its authenticity and historical significance. Condition: Excellent antique condition with minor wear consistent with age. A rare and collectible piece, this pitcher is a distinguished addition to any collection of fine European majolica or Victorian ceramics.
