Hand crafted Danish Art Nouveau grape decorated platter by Erik Magnussen in 1927 for P. Ipsens Enke
The art nouveau platter feature very well made lively blue grapes and leafs and is in good vintage condition.
P. Ipsens Enke (1843 - 1955) was a very succesfull Danish company that especially during the first part of the 1900´s managed to attract several leading names in Danish design who worked for the manufactorer who exported their pieces to many countries.
Over the years, the manufactorers creations acquired 56 first-class international prizes and are represented in many public institutions among them Neue Pinakothek in Munich, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Los Angeles Museum in California, Cleveland and the Brooklyn Museums, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Les Amis des Musees de la ville de Mons, Brussels, the National Arts Club in New York and the Latvian National History Museum in Riga.

Most elegant oval Silver Art Nouveau Serving Platter of gorgeous appearance.
The platter's middle area has smooth surface / its edge is decorated with excellent ornaments:
Nicest flower's blossoms (= tulips) with leaves and wreaths consisting of leaves as well as bound together with a decorative bow are visible on platter's edged areas. Mentioned ornaments were made by technique of chasing works.
