21st Century Double-Decker Carousel the Lady Susan, Glorified Lazy Susan

$6,020.73 per item

About

B.B., the double decker sold brass platforms sit on individual heavy-duty ball bearings encased deep inside the central brass trunk support. The platforms turn smoothly and individually in both directions and can hold heavy objects. The antiqued patina gives it a vintage flair. This piece is one of my favourite, I love the glorified Lazy Susan. Specifications: Patinated sold brass. steel ball bearings Handmade in Italy.

About the Maker

B.B. for Reschio Benedikt Bolza Design

Benedikt Bolza is the owner and chief architect of Reschio Estate, a 1500 hectare family estate in Umbria, bordering Tuscany. Over the past 20 years, the family have been restoring ancient farmhouses on their estate and turning them into elegant light filled homes. Benedikt’s creative skills turned to design when trying to source particular pieces for the interiors and thus B.B. for Reschio, his boutique furniture and lighting collection was born. Each item in the collection is totally handmade in Italy from the concept to the source of finest materials and construction. Benedikt cleverly designs the pieces blending Italian classicism with his own contemporary style. His artisan craftsmen, then, apply and adapt their skills that have been passed down through generations. They create each piece individually using the finest quality locally made brass, bronze, copper, steel and oak. Materials are mixed and matched, structures sympathetically worked and patinated and deftly combined with hand stitched Italian leathers, silks and locally woven fabrics; timelessly elegant pieces that reflect the unique luxurious style and heart of Reschio. B.B. "My collection of unique custom-made pieces is ever evolving and I’m so delighted to be expanding with comfortable yet beautiful eye-catching furniture and lighting as well as accessories . The pieces will compliment both classic and modern interiors of homes here in Italy and elsewhere in the world.”
