ALHAMBRA (Pattern Name) - Victorian Staffordshire blue transfer decorated ironstone platter or tray - featuring a castle in the center with a floral pattern border - raised/embossed handle grips to each end - high gloss glaze over-all - pattern name to the back - unsigned - United Kingdom - circa 1850. Excellent antique condition - body and glaze imperfections (part of the early manufacturing process) - only trace amounts remain of the gilded border - no loss - no damage - no cracks or chips - no restoration - glaze crackle - scratches and signs of age and use. Size/dimensions - large - 16 3/4" (42.5 cm.) x 12 1/2" (31.7 cm.) x 1 3/4" (4.5 cm.) deep.
