Ercole Barovier tray, 1940s'

About the Item

Mirrored tray by Ercole Barovier Refined 1950s' tray with engraved mirror top. Submerged glass rope edging and brass handles and details. A scene depicting two lovers is engraved on the mirror top. The mirror being mercury has inevitable signs of time. The clear and red glass border gives a modern touch to the tray. Elegant and romantic, this tray is ideal to use for serving or as a table centerpiece. Designed by Ercole Barovier glass designer and inventor of new glassmaking techniques such as rostratura which he invented and patented was Barovier's artistic director from 1926 until his death in 1974.
