About the Item

One of my favorite patterns, these four pieces of Mintons Celadon green ground serving pieces are uniquely decorated in a classic Aesthetic Movement motif with flowers, fauna and butterflies and bordered by realistically painted bamboo. The wonderful combination of colors make a versatile palette both as decoration and functional serving pieces. This pattern also compliments any Majolica collection. The pieces may be purchased individually or as a set. The measurements and prices are as follows: Sauce tureen and stand is 8" x 5 3/4" wide and 5 1/2" tall priced at $1250.00 Hand-painted Minton oval platter, 15.25" L x 12" W is priced at $1500.00 Large hand-painted Minton oval platter, 17.50" L x 13.50" W; is priced at $1800.00 Hand-painted Minton round chop platter, 15" diameter is priced $1500.00.

Antique Aesthetic Movement Silver Plated Serving Tray with Figural Siren Handles
By Meridiani
Located in Hamilton, Ontario
This very elaborate and well executed silver plated serving tray is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from the United States, possibly by Meridian, and dating to approximately 1890 and done in the period Aesthetic Movement style. The tray is is quite heavy for its size and heavily plated, and has a unique fortress shape with flanged sides with ornately cast scrolling leaf decoration. The figural handles depict a reclining woman, beckoning to the ships from the shoreline. This tray is in very good period condition and a very good example of Aesthetic Movement plated...
