13 Davenport 19th c. Dessert Set W/ Aesthetic Movement Teal Blue Fern Subjects
About the Item
This set of 13 Aesthetic Movement dessert plates with matching serving compote, were made by Davenport ca. 1890's and feature hand decorated ferns surrounding the molded floral relief borders and highlighted with fern leaves. The soft blue-green (teal-turquoise) palette makes a subtle statement while the actual shape of the plates contribute to the botanical theme. Each plate is embellished with gold for a touch of elegance and the size makes them ideal for your favorite dessert, cheese course or display.
Made in England, all in excellent condition commensurate with age, ca. 1890
