About the Item

19th Century English White & Gilt Two-Handled Porcelain Urn An elegant and finely crafted English porcelain urn from the early to mid-19th century, dating to circa 1820–1850. The urn features a pristine white ground, highlighted by intricate gilt detailing applied to the rim, handles, and base. The design reflects the Neoclassical and early Victorian aesthetic, with two gracefully shaped handles and subtle gilding that adds a refined touch to its overall appearance. Unmarked on the underside, this urn was likely produced by a smaller porcelain workshop or as part of a decorative set, common during this period when some pieces were not marked by their makers. The urn is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship typical of the time, suitable for a variety of interior styles, from classical to more contemporary settings. Measures: 16 x 14 x 17 (height) cm. Condition: The urn is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The gilding shows some minor wear and there are light surface scratches in line with its age, but overall the piece retains its elegance and charm.
