About
Set of three porcelain vases, painted with romantic scenes and floral motifs.
The gold paint decoration has some wear here and there, appropriate to the age. The photos give a good impression of this.
The vases are marked on the bottom with the initials 'AR', which indicates Helena Wolfsohn from Dresden, Germany.
One vase has a baking error: An overlying ring around the entire vase. This is not damage but a common occurrence in the baking process.
Helena Wolfsohn was the successor of her father, who formerly runs the business Dresden under the name of L. Meyer & Söhne. Wolfsohn had a successful porcelain decorating business which used a wide array of blanks from different other companies. Around 1853 she already had a sales agent in England, J. & R. McCracken from 7, Old Jewry, London.

Middle vase 42 centimetres tall and diameter 24 cm
The two smaller vases 37 centimetres tall and diameter 37 cm.
