Antique Chinese Export Porcelain Teapot
About the Item
A fine old or antique Chinese export porcelain teapot.
Decorated throughout with faded gilding and raised figural floral devices
The C-shaped handle is in the form of branches with raised leaf decoration where the handle meets the teapot's body (these leaves have lost the majority of their gilding), and there are two gilt floral devices on opposing sides between handle and spout.
The lid has a gilt figural strawberry finial with a gilt rim.
Simply a wonderful piece of Chinese export porcelain!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Condition Details:
There is extensive rubbing and losses to the gilding throughout, especially to the leaves that sprout from the handle, the berry finial, and the spout. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
