Antique KPM Royal Berlin Porcelain Chamberstick with a Maiden's Head Handle
About the Item
A fine antique figural porcelain candlestick or chamberstick.
By KPM Royal Berlin.
The handle is a figural maiden's head with gilt highlights. The gilding continues around the entirety of the wax pan, which is further decorated with pink, purple, and red flowers, as well as a grisalle depiction of a man attempting to court a woman. The candle holder itself has rich purple and gilt highlights.
Simply a wonderful candlestick from KPM!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Condition Details:
There is some minor rubbing to the gilding here and there. Otherwise, there are some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Marked to the base with blue underglaze scepter mark, a KPM iron-red orb mark, an impressed P and various cyphers.
