Cabbage Dish, "The Magician" Pattern, Worcester, circa 1758
About the Item
An early dish in the form of two cabbage leaves, with the polychrome decoration known as ‘The Magician’. A cheerful, colourful pattern, well drawn and with an amusing name.
The border and colour palette suggest that this was outside decorated, probably in the Giles workshop in London.
