A Very Rare Chinese Export Canton Famille Rose Plate, Mid-Nineteenth Century, with a central large butterfly, its wings forming four roundels, the front wings with a pair of birds among bamboo and floral sprays, and the rear wings painted with nesting birds, with three central gourds, signifying good luck and fortune, on a lavish polychrome enameled and gilded ground.
