EMIL ECKARDT - 'Mino' - Pirkenhammer Porcelain Cabinet Plate - E.U. - Circa 1900

CHRISTIAN FREDERIK EMIL ECKARDT (Danish, 1832-1914) - 'Mino' ('Son of the Right Hand' - Ancient Hebrew) - PIRKENHAMMER PORCELAIN FACTORY (Fischer & Meig) - Extraordinary and rare antique porcelain cabinet plate by one of Denmark's most gifted late 19th century artists - featuring a fine hand painted portrait of a young boy in Capri or Rome (after a similar painting by Adriano Bonifazi, late 19th century) - suitable for framing or cabinet display - signed lower right E. Eckardt Dresden - titled on the back - impressed 'F&M' on the back (mark used between 1853-73) - Europe - circa 1900. Excellent antique condition - old restoration to the rim below the signature (as photographed) - a couple of minor surface scratches near the neck - no cracks - no loss - no damage - signs of age and use. Size/Dimensions - 9" (23 cm.) Diameter x 1 1/8" (3 cm.) Deep. Note - There are a pair of cabinet plates available by Emil Eckardt - the other titled 'Gabriela'. Sold and listed separately or as a pair!
