Large Sèvres-style Porcelain Charger

About the Item

This large French porcelain charger, in the Sèvres style, is intricately painted with a period courtyard scene, set in the yard of a house with family gathering in celebration. Father figure playing a stringed instrument, in the presence of other members of his family. Cobalt blue with tooled gilt border. The charger is marked to the underside with interlaced L's, with the letters "A" and "S" reminiscent of Sèvres, and is mounted in metal, allowing it to be hung as a piece of wall art.
