Le Tallec Golden Bees Porcelain Demitasse Cups and Saucers, circa 1957 Set/11-12

About the Item

Exquisite neoclassical demitasse set comprised of fine porcelain and 24K gold by Camille Le Tallec. The pattern is from the Abeilles Collection featuring Napoleonic golden bees hand painted in gold over white porcelain. The set includes 11 cups and 12 saucers. The cups have bees and golden stars motifs with laurel leafs along the stem. They have square bases painted in gold and feature stylized scrolled handles in gold. The saucers repeat the motifs of bees and stars, and feature gold rims and gold square insets that perfectly hold the cups. Signed 'Le Tallec a Paris' on underside of each piece along with the markings HH which identifies the year 1957, as well as the artist's initials. Cups measure 2.75"H x 2.5"W x 3.25"D Saucers measure 0.5"H x 4.5"D.
