About the Item
Deep plate, in Portuguese earthenware from Sacavém. Polychrome decoration with geometric designs in the middle, marked Gilman & C.TA Sacavém (1930-1970).
The center of the plate features a charming geometric pattern in green, orange and blue. The design is composed of symmetrical and stylized elements, which look like a mandala, geometric, harmonious and balanced. The use of small dotted brushstrokes around the central motif adds a delicate touch to the whole, reinforcing the attention to detail that characterizes the pieces from this factory.
The rim of the dish has a smooth transition from a pale lavender tone to the white of the rest of the surface. This gradient creates a pleasant visual effect, framing the central motif and leading the eye into the dish.
