Rare Worcester Porcelain Sauce Boat with Early Flowering Plants Pattern, c1762 Additional information: Date : 1758-1765 Period : George II - George III Marks : bold hatched crescent to the base Origin : Worcester, England Colour : underglaze blue on white Pattern : The Early Flowering Plants pattern; catalogued II.C.2 as below Features: Footed sauce-boat with gadrooned moulding to the base and the centre part of the undulating rim Condition : Very good; slight fritting to the foot-rim, sporadic kiln spit to the flanks of the body and a fine though stained crack to the lower terminal of the handle; as the rest of the handle is intact, this is presumably a firing defect Restoration : none Dimensions : H 9.0 cm, 15.7 cm rear of handle to tip of spout
