A finely crafted footed porcelain tazza by Royal Porzellan Manufaktur Bavaria (marked “R.P.M.”), dating to the mid-20th century, and distinguished by its rich gilded decoration and finely modeled form. The circular plateau features a symmetrical arrangement of stylized acanthus and foliate scrollwork in burnished gilt, alternating between white-ground reserves with red accents and fully gilded segments, forming a continuous wreath-like border around the wide rim. The delicate leaves, executed with sharp tooling and highlighted with stippled red veining, suggest a Neoclassical influence, while the recessed center remains unadorned, emphasizing the ornate band.
Raised on a flared foot similarly enameled with matching acanthus and palmette motifs, the form recalls 19th-century reticulated tazzas and dessert stands but is executed in a solid porcelain body with glossy glaze and gilt-lined edges. The underside bears the blue crown-over-script mark of R.P.M. Bavaria.
