Saucer in Chinese Porcelain for Export, Qing Dynasty

About the Item

Saucer, in Chinese porcelain for export. Polychrome decoration with floral motifs, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795). A charming and meticulous decoration, composed of floral motifs and natural elements, with the central part presented by a small circular medallion with a flower in shades of pink and green, surrounded by a thin red outline that adds prominence to the composition. Around the central medallion, flowering branches spread delicately, filling the surface of the plate with a naturalistic movement. The flowers are painted with subtle details, capturing the softness of the petals and the freshness of the leaves. The green branches with small blue-green leaves reinforce the saucer's feeling of lightness and dynamism. The composition is balanced and harmonious, demonstrating the craftsmen's skill in creating a design that appears spontaneous but follows a well-planned logic. The light brushstrokes and the use of transparent and opaque enamels give the piece an interesting visual texture, where the soft shine of the porcelain contrasts with the matte finish of the flowers. Marked on the bottom, chips, hair, flaws and wear on the enamel.
