About the Item

This is a rare and spectacular set of 11 19th c Royal Worcester dessert cabinet plates, hand painted and signed by the renowned Edward Raby. He was considered one of the premier artists at Royal Worcester and interpreted his subjects in the Aesthetic Movement with great expertise and a unique style. These date from 1884 and are decorated with an emphasis on amethyst flowers. Please enlarge the images to see the detail and realistic rendition of each floral species. Measuring over 9" in diameter these are magnificent cabinet/display plates and paintings.
