Pr. 19th Century Russian Cobalt Blue & Gold Ground Swan Handle Porcelain Vases
Located in New York, NY
A fantastic quality pair of Russian Empire cobalt blue and gold ground swan handle porcelain vases. Each piece is of Amphora form with a gorgeous 24K gold matted, burnished, and shiny front and backside decoration. The front panels consist of a young girl and a young boy, where the young girl is seen holding food on her head with a water pale in her hand walking through the town, while the boy is seen holding a basket of fruit up and walking it back home. The reverse of each of the vases is also elaborately decorated with one of the scenes being a comfy home with a beautiful woody landscape with a deer running through the backyard, while the other vase has a gorgeous landscape scene with a man riding a horse in the background. On either side of the vases are two-tone matte and burnished 24K gold swan form handles. Underneath the handles are 24K gold hand-painted decorations over a cobalt blue ground. The body runs down a waisted gold neck onto a rounded base which sits on a square gold plinth...

Coalport Coffee Can Porcelain Hand Painted Cornflowers Pattern, circa 1805
Located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire
This is a good quality coffee can that we attribute to the Coalport porcelain works, Shropshire, England, made during the John Rose period of the George 111rd years, circa 1805. The coffee can is nominally parallel, tapering slightly to the base, with a simple loop handle, with a slight lower kink and pointed attachments. It has a shallow foot recess with obtuse corner and is unmarked to the base. The pattern is beautifully hand painted in the French Chantilly style with cornflower sprigs in gold gilt and blue with red & green leaf detail to the lower half with an upper border continuous cornflower pattern, all between gold gilt rings with further gilt decoration to the outer handle and gilding around the lower rim. We date this piece to the late George third...

Dr Wall First Period Worcester Sugar Box England Circa 1775
Located in Katonah, NY
This 18th-century First Period Worcester Porcelain sugar box was hand painted featuring beautiful swags painted with green leaves, purple berries, and two-tone blue and yellow apples. Each swag is tied with a purple ribbon in an elegant bow. Green leaves and two-tone plums hang from each ribbon. The cover finial is crafted as a budding rose painted in gorgeous pinkish purple and yellow with two green leaves. The sugar box's border and cover are both adorned with a band of underglaze blue and a chain of golden ribbons and are gently lobed, which adds visual excitement as light plays over the curved surfaces. Made in England circa 1775, this sugar box is a gem! Dimensions: 5" tall x 4.5" diameter Condition: Excellent Marks: On the underside is the Worcester First Period crescent in underglaze blue (see last image). Early Worcester Porcelain marks are rarely seen—a blue crescent mark (seen here) dates pieces back to the 'First' or 'Dr Wall...
