Worcester Porcelain Queen Charlotte Pattern Chocolate Cup and Saucer, c1770 Additional information: Date : c1770 Period : George III Marks : tiny plain crescent mark to the underside of the cup Origin : Worcester, England Colour : Imari palette Pattern : Queen Charlotte (copied from a Meissen original) Condition : Excellent; a little kiln spit to the inside of the cup's bowl, with some roughness and tiny fleabite nicks to the foot-rim; a very few, fine scratches to the centre of the well of the saucer Restoration None Dimensions : cup - H 7.2 cm, Diameter : 10.0 cm 13.7 cm between the extremities of the handles saucer - 4.7 cm deep, 14.5 cm in diameter

    First Period Worcester Porcelain Holly Berry Pattern Teacup and Saucer, Hop Trellis Pattern, Circa 1775. The First Period Worcester porcelain teacup and saucer has a reeded French shape and is richly decorated with the Holly Berry pattern- a variation of the Hop Trellis pattern. Panels of purple plants alternate with berried foliage between borders of lilac diaper and gold herringbone and a lower border of white pearls on a bright turquoise ground. There are gilt dentil rims and the inside of the cup has flowers and berried sprigs below a gold band. Dimensions: Overall: 2 3/8 inches high x 5 1/4 inches wide; Saucer: 5 1/4 inch diameter x 1 inch high; Cup: 1 7/8 inches high x 4 inches wide x 3 3/8 inches deep.
