Large Decorative Dish, Biot, France c. 1960

About the Item

Exceptional dimensions for this extra-large dish which can be also a wall-mounted decoration. Glazed earthenware with incised floral decor. Hollow stamp on the back. Ceramic center since Antiquity, the charming city of Biot has gained notoriety both for its culinary and artistic pottery creations from the 18th century. The quality of the earthenware and the controlled rusticity of the lines bring the warmth of the French Riviera to the most beautiful tables and contemporary interiors. The condition is excellent with the exception of a tiny defect ont the rim, nothing which can detract the aesthetic of the piece.
