A set of 3 mid century studio teacups from the 1940s-50s by husband and wife ceramicists, Charles and Alice Smith of California. Great abstract design on the fronts consisting of carved lines and overlapping glazes. Finished in black matte glazes with glossy green interiors. Signed on the bases Chalice.
