Set of 2 Antique Majolica George Jones Chestnut Leaf Plates
About the Item
George Jones worked for the Minton Company before starting his own. His company was smaller and produced fewer but very special pieces. The Chestnut Leaf plates are very detailed and show G.Jones incredible artistry. The plates have a white napkin behind the chestnut leaf.

- Condition:One of the plates has a hairline. Both plates have the normal 'crazying' and rubbings from the age and glaze. Underneath the plates are trivet markings. This was where the potter stacked the plates on trivets in the kiln. The age is normal for pottery.
