$750per set

About
Set of three French Majolica asparagus plates by Saint Amand, (19th century). Each plate features a molded design of seven asparagus spears with an artichoke and acanthus leaf, with a depression for lemon or sauce. One plate is stamped Saint Amand, and the other two nearly identical plates are unmarked.
Made by the Majolica factory which opened in 1818 in Saint Amand-les-Eaux in the north of France, not too far from Lille. This plate was made before 1890 as it is not marked on the back with the name of the country of origin.
