An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique sterling silver lily pattern sauce ladles made by George Adams; an addition to our Victorian silver flatware collection.
These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver sauce ladles have been crafted in the Lily pattern.
The lily pattern leaf decoration to the handle terminal and heel of each piece is a Classic example of mid-Victorian naturalism.
The anterior surface of the handle of these antique silver sauce ladles incorporate the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a stag's head.
These fine examples of Victorian flatware have a plain rounded bowl ornamented with a leaf decorated heel accented with a 'lozenge mark' which certifies the patent of this design on 21st of January 1850 with the UK Patent Office.
These exceptional antique silver sauce ladles have been crafted by the renowned and collectable London cutlery maker George Adams of Chawner & Co.
Condition
These antique silver ladles are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bright cut engraved decoration has wear in keeping with age. Full hallmarks struck deeply to the reverse of the bowl and are very clear.
